Bad Spelling?

A picture is worth a thousand words... BUT...

An out of place plaice
had a sneer on his face
as he swam through the murky deeps
Though his spelling, I fear,
was the worst in his year,
still his spots made him oddly unique-
for he used them to count
to ginormous amounts,
and became a mathematical freak!

For Tess and Steven Kelly at The Mag

And here I apologise to any visiting Mag addicts, for I've just managed to enter myself a second time on the link list, after adding the rhyme to my original wordless wonder, idiot that I am! These senior moments are the very pits...

  4. LOVED this! I had to look up plaice...we catch lots (LOTS? well, used to be...now it's SOME) of Flounder in bays, all around Naples FL. Prob one of the BEST-tasting fish around--next to SNOOK!

    Thanks for visiting!

  14. Tell me Cad why exactly does Ada look like a battle axe?
I have never seen her with a smile on her face!

  15. Cad's too loyal. He'd never tell you why she looks like a battleaxe. But I will. I can risk it because I live far from Abergele. It's because she IS a battleaxe. One glance from Ada can cleave a man vertically into two pieces at ten paces.

    1. Blogger has blown his top on my behalf, I think. He's not let me tell you that I Caddoc, am the only one who really knows Ada - never mind odd acquaintances like Doctor FTSE - but three attempts to include a link, as proof, have failed to hit the screen...
I shall retire to my shed, in disgust...

  18. Cad is obviously a persona non grata at the moment!

    1. Goodness me - you have been on a long journey, to end up here! LOL
If you enjoy rhythm and rhyme, there are plenty of both to be found, should you decide to scroll back through time, on this blog or A trellis Truce. .
Good to see you here today. :-)
