A Mini Moment For Monday

Hopping by the Toad Garden yesterday, I espied this photo by Richard Schear  which has now, belatedly, brought forth a MIni 'Mutt Moment' - with apologies. :)

I know that many dog owners
buy their pets weird treats,
like Dentastix, or rubber bones,
or doggy chocs to eat,
but I'd've thought they'd draw the line
at socks for doggy feet!

And as I only wrote it this morning, I'm linking to IGWRT  Open Link Monday... have a nice day, people!

  1. Caddoc - forgive me! I've managed to copy your post here as a link on Imaginary Garden - put it down to a senior moment. I AM sorry...
Your natty ditty obviously got to my brain and addled it...I wasn't trying to steal your thunder, honestly!

    1. It's easily done - but good to see Cad's poem showing twice

  2. Socks I truly do not understand; but I could understand small dog shoes...but I doubt one would find many dogs that would either tolerate or enjoy them.

  3. Ah! This is a delight! Not quite what we may have expected, but no surprise coming from Caddoc.

  4. To help polish the floor, of course. Any housewife knows the efficacity of fluffy socks for shining floors!

  5. LOL
This is great! Made me laugh.
Lindy doesn't love her snowboots, by any means, but she tolerates them in snowy weather. Otherwise, she gets clumps of ice between the pads of her feet, and that can be painful. Either she has to chew them out, or we have to pull them out. So much nicer to pull off her booties, knowing there are at least four pieces of dog not covered in snow. Then we dry the rest of her with a towel.

  8. We have a Schnoodle (a Poodle/Schnauzer mix) and snow compacts over his whole tiny body... He has learned to LOVE his booties (and little jacket) when it snows. He is also very happy we moved to the much warmer south... CUTE poem!
