Plea in Etheree Form

Use
crimson
ink to write
me a note, love.
Throw me a life-line
as I reach for comfort,
in this moment of despair.
Save me from the glowering storm
engendered by your unfounded lies,
whose flint-tipped arrows pierce my very heart.

Inspired by the three words on P&SU Friday Writings #94

N.B.  I have had second thoughts since I wrote the first lines, so this is possibly a good bit of advice to the needy:-

Write in blood your crimson letter...
A bleeding heart needs must get better!
It has no wish to taunt or tease
so calm its turbulence - now! Please?

(Hot off the press, or what?)

  1. It is stormy, indeed, when love goes wrong. On reflection perhaps one is better off without a lifeline from a liar.

    1. True; but luckily, it was imagination, not life, that gave rise to the words!
Though sad to say, some people may have experienced similar problems for real. Good job hope spring eternal. :-)

  2. If I have to die, I hope it's by Cupid's arrow!

    1. Hard to think of Cupid as a sure-shot, eh? Too many starry eyed beginnings end up short of the mark, as you might say. Not that I'm a pessimist, of course. LOL.

  3. Lying, taunting, and teasing, all annoying to say the least.
All forms of harassment and bullying. Been there way back in school.

    1. That's a shame....Hopefully, becoming an adult put paid to such unkind hassles!

  4. Caddoc - your rewrite has echoes of your good lady wife - Mrs.Ada Trellis - and her attempts to keep you under control. A fine etheree, however.

    1. Doc! Ada would never write a note to me with the word 'Please' included. However, it's more than likely she'd' send a few flint-tipped arrows in my direction!

  6. I like your 'second thoughts' verse as an ending to the whole piece.

    1. Thank you, Rosemary. You can probable tell I'm a peaceable kind of follow at heart, and no arrows have ever done damage to it. LOL

  7. Words like 'despair,' 'glowering,' 'pierce' reinforce my view of things. We're doomed!
    Great writing.

    1. Ta! But, as I like to tell folks, "Don't despair, Cad is here" (err - there?) or somewhere? And always ready to help a fellow being. :-)

    1. Indeed! Good job I prefer to tell the truth... Rhyming can't always say the same, though, as Rhymes Rule OK for us struggling lyricists... *smiles*
Thanks for stopping long enough to leave a comment, Debii. :-)

  9. Very dramatic "use crimson ink" - a great lead in line to a stormy "love" affair!

    1. Imagination this week must take the blame for 'inventing' a love affair of any kind, as my Ada has been my one Beloved since the beginning of time. I wouldn't have it any other way. :-)
Thanks for coming by to read the very non-crimson words here! *smiles*

  10. When someone whom you are madly in love with takes you for a ride, all you want is passionate geniuness ...I liked it

    1. I'm lucky; my Ada wouldn't dream of taking me for a ride, I'm sure.
(And before you ask, I could never take her for a ride, even if I wanted too, as I never learned to drive! Keep death off the roads, that's my motto. LOL.)
